Christa Chau has almost thirteen years’ experience as a structural design engineer at PK Associates Structural Engineers. Christa received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. Immediately after graduation, Christa began practicing Structural Engineering for PK Associates, LLC. Christa holds a Structural Engineering registration in Arizona and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Since starting her career at PKA, Ms. Chau has been continuously involved in both renovation and new build projects for both the private and public sector. She is experienced in structural analysis, steel, concrete and masonry design. Ms. Chau has been the Project Manager for numerous projects including renovation and new building projects. Her responsibilities include overall design, project management, calculations and details, as well as computer runs and dynamic analysis with programs such as Ram Structural, Ram Concept, ETABS, SAFE and Risa3D.
Ms. Chau was honored with receiving the 2012 Engineering News Record Top 20 under 40 Award. She is an active member of several professional affiliations including American Institute of Steel Construction, Structural Engineers Association of Arizona, and Pre-Stressed Concrete Institute.
