Project Information

PK Associates added an additional 15,000 SF to the GCU Arena. The Arena expanded from 4,500 to 7,000 seats. The expansion also included a new upper deck, a hanging 11,000 SF structural steel mezzanine that wraps around the arena, additional seating at the lower bowl by extending various areas of the existing rows, design of a new 4,000 SF public space area, new grand stairs, and a new elevator from the new upper tier. PK Associates also confirmed capacities of the existing framing and columns because of the addition of concrete over the existing stage roof and confirmed the lateral analysis due to the additional loadings and structure. The whole project was completed in just 190 days.
