Project Information

PHOENIX CONVENTION CENTER WEST BUILDING and SYMPHANY HALL RENOVATION  was a multi-tasked CMAR project consisting of adding a new above grade west convention building, totaling 600,000 SF, to the existing Convention Center in Downtown Phoenix; plus a 45 feet deep excavation below grade (for parking and the exhibition hall) on the north side of the existing Phoenix Symphony Hall.  Our design included the removal of the north 40 feet of the existing Symphony Hall such that a new atrium/mezzanine space connects the new West Convention Center building with the existing Phoenix Symphony Hall.  A 135 feet high atrium space was created at the connecting link.
