Here is what some of our clients have to say

"PKA are the structural engineers for our apartment project in downtown Phoenix. They have been active team players in helping us determine the most appropriate structural solution for both the apartment buildings and a multi-level garage. They have been very responsive to the needs of an accelerated schedule and have been helpful in dealing with a number of difficult negotiations with City officials. I would certainly use their services again on future projects."

"Your firm has had a long reputation as the “go-to-guys” for large-scale, complex buildings in Arizona. We have had the pleasure of experiencing that expertise first -hand on multiple projects, including a 14-story post-tension concrete hi-rise in Tucson, Arizona. I would wholeheartedly recommend your firm to any owner who is looking for responsive service, out-of-the-box thinking, efficiency, and a high-performance building project."

To Whom It May Concern:

As a structural inspector II for the city of Phoenix for 12 years, I have inspected numerous buildings in a variety of structural designs and materials.  During this time, as in most jobs, I've gotten to work with a variety of people over the years that I have learned from and who have assisted me in my day to day job duties.  These are the people that I depend on to help me perform my job to the best of my abilities. In particular, Gus Lara has been one of those who best exemplifies this.

I feel fortunate that over the years I have had the opportunity to work with Gus on various projects from small tenant improvements, to high rise buildings.   Even though he is normally on a tight schedule, when I have run into him on job sites, he always provides time to answer questions and keep me up to date on detail changes I may have not seen yet. I believe continuity on a job makes for a more thorough inspection process, this is why Gus's experience and qualifications to perform all special inspections, including recently some wood framing, allows him to stay on a job while others rotate in and out who may not have the same skill set.

I look forward to continuing to work with him in the future on many more projects.

Yours truly,

Dan Battaglia
Structural Inpector II, City of Phoenix

"I just wanted to send you a quick email expressing my continued appreciation of the hard work you and your team are providing us on the Estrella project. I know we have made a few scope changes and also asked the team to start and stop or at least slow down the design, as we faced a number of unexpected approval hurdles. Your team has always been very accommodating and supportive. Based on our past dealings with PKA, I knew this would be the case but just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how appreciative I am. Please let Christa and the rest of your team know I really do appreciate their flexibility."

"The professionals at PKA are a developers best friend. Because of their collaborative approach, we include them during the design process. They do an excellent job of listening to Owner requests and incorporating them into drawings in a cost efficient manner. They come to meetings prepared and are often providing alternative solutions for Owners to consider before they finalize their work. PKA works well with subcontractors and so there are typically no field issues once construction commences."

"PKA has been the structural engineer for over 6 Million Square feet of my projects over a 17 year time frame. I consider them to be the best structural engineering firm in town."
