Canopy Hotel by Hilton

Across the street from ASU, the Canopy Hotel by Hilton is an exciting addition to Downtown Tempe. PK Associates provided structural engineering and special structural inspections on this 14-story hotel with 200 guest rooms totaling 136,000 SF. The hotel connects to a high-rise apartment tower located in the Union Tempe mixed-use development. Building features include meeting space, a rooftop pool, and a 43,000 SF parking structure. The ground floor serves as the lobby/reception area, cafe, bar, restaurant and support areas. Levels 2 through 4 provide parking, floor 5 consists of conference and amenity space with a pool, and guest rooms are located on floors 6 through 14. Construction type is post-tensioned CIP concrete; 260 prefabricated exterior panels were supplied by Kapture.
