Yuma Regional Medical Center Expansion

The 71,118 square foot emergency department is the largest and most complex expansion the Yuma Regional Medical Center has undertaken. The 13-phase integrated project delivery approach increased the emergency department bed capacity from 37 to 72, and added two floors of shelled space, radiological services, an underground garage, and an elevated two helicopter helipad. With the future in mind, the building was designed for the ability to add four additional floors. In addition to the expansion of the medical center on the 35-acre campus, the project also included a central plant expansion and a new, three-level garage that has 390 spaces.
